(Yellowknife – October 16, 2023) The NTHSSA invites those who are due for a cervical cancer screening (Pap) test or those who would like to be screened for a sexually transmitted and blood borne infection (STI), to attend the clinic at the Yellowknife Primary Care Centre on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

It is recommended that cervical cancer screening begin at age 21, or 3 years after becoming sexually active; whichever comes first.

This event aims to:

  • Provide an opportunity for those eligible to get tested
  • Efficiently meet demands for this service and reduce wait times to see a healthcare provider
  • Test new and innovative ways to more efficiently serve patients as healthcare staffing issues continue to impact access to care and services
  • Promote and provide information on the importance of cervical and sexual health
  • Provide welcoming, inclusive, and safe space for all individuals

Date: Saturday, October 21, 2023

Location: Yellowknife Primary Care Centre

Hours: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Appointments can be booked in advance and walk-ins are welcome. To book an appointment, please call 867-767-9294. Your healthcare card is required to attend the clinic.
