WATERLOO REGION — Waterloo Region public health reported an additional 22 positive cases of COVID-19 on its dashboard Saturday.
That brings the total positive cases in the region to 18,760 since the pandemic began.
Variants of concern increased by one to 4,953 while active cases rose by eight to 143.
Deaths remained unchanged at 288 and hospitalizations decreased by three to 14.
Outbreaks were up by one to five and are currently at Rising Oaks Early Learning Ontario in Kitchener, a food processing facility, place of worship, Conestoga Lodge Retirement Home and a workplace.
To date, 84.69 per cent of Waterloo Region residents 12 and older have received at least one dose of the vaccine while 76.81 per cent have received two.
