“Replacement schedule for the contact lenses to be followed should be disposable. It should be daily or weekly disposal or at best, it should be bi-monthly disposal. It is best not to increase the time frequency of replacement longer than that. The contact lens case should also be always kept clean. It can be replaced at a periodic interval, in three months,” says Dr. Kapur.
It is important that one must avoid rainwater or swimming pool exposure with contact lenses as lenses can absorb the water, which can trap potential bacteria, viruses, or other pathogens against which are dangerous for your eye.
