CBC News Consults U of G Epidemiologist on Ticks - U of G News - University of Guelph News

Dr. Katie Clow, professor in in the Department of Population Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College, spoke to CBC Health for an article exploring how climate change is fueling tick population growth in Canada. 

Clow commented that as the climate warms, ticks are being introduced into places that were previously not suitable for their survival. She added that these new ticks can transmit various illnesses beyond Lyme disease. 

A professor in One Health, Clow researches the epidemiology of vector-borne and zoonotic diseases specializing in tick-borne diseases.
