The centre is at 375 Main St., east of downtown.
Vaccinations are available for people ages five and older; no appointment is necessary. The clinics offer first, second and third doses.
Organizers say the wait time is minimal, but bring your Ontario health card and arrive at least 15 minutes before the end of each clinic session.
The dates are March 10, March 17, March 24 and March 31, with the clinic open from noon to 6 p.m.
“Research from around the world has shown the importance of getting three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine,” a county release states. It notes three doses are better than two in preventing a person from getting COVID-19, stopping people from spreading it, and lowering the risk of severe illness and death.
The release noted many area residents “continue to live with the ongoing effects of COVID infection.
“Two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine do not work as well as three doses against Omicron, the dominant COVID variant. Protection from two doses starts to decrease around three months,” the release states.
More information about third doses is available on the website of the University of Toronto’s family and community medicine program at tinyurl.com/utdose3. People with questions may also attend one of the clinic sessions and speak with a doctor.
