Vancouver Coastal Health offering COVID-19 vaccinations to post-secondary students - Vancouver Coastal Health

VANCOUVER, B.C. – Starting immediately, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is making it even easier for students to get ready to head back to school by adding more convenient locations for students to get vaccinated for COVID-19, including several on-campus clinics.

Students and staff are invited to attend the on-campus or nearby neighbourhood clinics to receive their first or second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccinations are free of charge and available to anyone 12 years of age and older, including people who don't have a personal health number or people who are not residents of B.C.

"Getting vaccinated is the best way for students, staff and faculty to protect themselves and their entire campus community against COVID-19," said Anne Kang, Minister for Advanced Education Skills and Training. "On-campus clinics will make it quick and easy for all people to protect themselves, and will allow them to participate in a full range of on-campus activities."

To be eligible for a second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, it needs to be at least 28 days since your first dose. Please bring your COVID-19 Immunization Record Card if you have it.

As part of the new provincial vaccine requirement, accessing some non-essential services on campus will now require a proof of vaccination. This will apply to on-campus indoor venues, including but not limited to gyms, nightclubs, restaurants and a variety of indoor events, such as sporting events and concerts. Students who are living in on-campus housing will also require proof of vaccination.

Clinic dates, times, and locations can be found at www.vch.ca/vaccine. Please check our website regularly as clinic times and locations are updated often.
