In-person Classes Suspended at New World Island Academy Due to COVID - VOCM

Classes at New World Island Academy are suspended immediately due to an increase in COVID cases linked to the school community.

Public Health are encouraging all students and staff to arrange for testing immediately, whether they have symptoms or not.

The NLESD says that classes will resume online on Tuesday, September 28th, and continue virtually until further notice.

Anyone wishing to avail of testing can do so at the George Hawkins Arena in Twillingate today until 7:00 p.m. and tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

School staff will be assessing technological needs of students on Monday, September 27.

All other schools in the Central region can remain open for in-class instruction.
