BC, King County working on vaccine verification systems | 1170 KPUG-AM - KPUG 1170

BRITISH COLUMBIA, Canada – British Columbia is streamlining its vaccination ID program as it moves toward the start of vaccine requirements for social and recreational events.

Canada’s Global News reports BC residents can now download their BC Vaccine Card with a QR code that businesses can scan or visually inspect.

Proof of at least one dose of vaccine will be required at many businesses and events in BC starting Monday, September 13th.

King County is also working to set up a COVID-19 vaccine verification system that could go into effect next month at certain non-essential, high-risk settings.

The Seattle Times reports this would make it easier for places like clubs, theaters and stadiums to check the vaccination status of people coming through the door.

Other areas like New York and San Francisco have begun to implement vaccine verification systems as well.

Adblock test (Why?)
