Another resident at Kamloops Seniors Village has tested positive for COVID-19, according to Interior Health.
The health authority said as of Sunday afternoon, there are eight COVID-19 cases among the care home residents — an increase of one since Saturday.
One resident has died of COVID-19 since an outbreak was declared at Kamloops Seniors Village on Aug. 27.
Two staff members have tested positive for the virus.
There have been no new cases identified at The Hamlets at Westsyde, where Interior Health declared an outbreak on Sept. 1.
Three residents and one staff member have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the health authority, new COVID-19 cases in the Interior remain mostly in unvaccinated residents, particularly people between the ages of 20 and 40.
