Yet again, the majority of the new and active cases are in Interior Health, and it is also seeing the biggest increases in case numbers.
Today's new case count is also the highest one in recent weeks.
Earlier today, B.C. immunization rollout team executive lead Penny Ballem, B.C. Health Minister Adrian Dix, and provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry held a news conference in Vancouver to give updates about the vaccination program, and addressed issues pertaining to people who remain unvaccinated.
They also announced the launch of a new immunization campaign that aims to reach individuals who haven’t yet been vaccinated.
Based on data from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control, Henry pointed out that the vast majority of the new cases are occurring in people who haven’t been vaccinated.
