Covid: 11 New Cases, 19 Resolved In Grey Bruce

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 11 new Covid cases and 19 resolved ones on Thursday.

According to Public Health, four people from Owen Sound, two folks from Grey Highlands, and residents of Chatsworth, Georgian Bluffs, Meaford, Southgate and Saugeen Shores tested positive.

The region’s active known case load fell to 71. Three Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and two others are receiving care outside the area.

More than 214,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.

Today, there are drop-in vaccination clinics running from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Owen Sound District Secondary School and the P & H Centre in Hanover.

Eighteen Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic.

The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Thursday are reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.
