A Toronto hospital is dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak and several vaccinated people are among those infected.
The University Health Network says the outbreak at Toronto Western Hospital in the 6A unit was declared Thursday.
Five patients and three staff are among those infected and the network says some of the infected people had received one or two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
They’re urging staff to keep taking precautions and following public health measures, even when they’re fully vaccinated.
It’s believed the majority of cases involved in the outbreak are “more than likely” the Delta variant, but so far, those cases are mild.
