HALIFAX - Health officials in Nova Scotia are reporting three new cases of COVID-19 today.
Two cases are in the province's Central Zone and are close contacts of previously identified patients.
The other infection is in the Eastern Zone and is under investigation.
Nova Scotia has 58 active cases of COVID-19 and two people in hospital with the virus.
Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia's chief medical officer of health, says active cases are decreasing while vaccine rates continue to climb.
He says those are a few of the indicators used to determine if it's safe to move to the next phase in the province's reopening plan.
